I wrap myself around the ideas of you like water surrounding a thrown stone as it dives into a lake. Captivated by the sight of you, I'm shown stifled in place. I've become the stone, cold, alone but have not grown old to the sides of you that you rarely show. I want to sink in to your head like the soft bed we used to lay in and feel comfortable along side the thoughts of you I've created.
I'd grasp the water and hold it still for as long as i can and watch as it seeps through my hands. The ripples from the drops of water hitting the bank resemble the sound waves of our conversations that would often instill laughter but after only moments without movement would disappear
forever.
Standing still I ask myself: "Is this loneliness being tempered?"
